Q1. What’s the Duration of plan & its cost?

A1. Plan is valid for 400 days from the handset purchase date. Costing of plan is (one time payment) of Rs 8.00% of the invoice value of handset.

Q2. Who all can buy this plan and which mobile brands are accepted?

A2. Buyer of new mobile handsets from local retailer or online stores (Flipkart, Snap Deal, Amazon etc) & Following brands accepted - APPLE , SAMSUNG , SONY , LG, KARBONN , MICROMAX, NOKIA, BLACKBERRY, LENOVO, MOTOROLA , HTC , LAVA, XOLO, OPPO VIDEOCON, ALCATEL, PANASONIC, GIONEE, XIAOMI, ASUS, I BALL , DELL , HP, INTEX, HUAWEI, CELKON , MAXX, ONIDA, SPICE and all other brands that provide 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Q3. What are the benefits of the plan?

A3. You will get reimbursement in the event of a. Screen replacement or Touch Damage, b. Water Damage c. Total Damage d. Lost / Misplace e.Theft f. Ext Warranty Faults g. Fire Damage h. Non Repairable

Q4. How many offices does WA have and how old is the company?

A4. We have only one office in New Delhi and company is in this field since Feb 2002 (more than12 years).

Q5. Documents required for misplace / stolen handsets?

A5. a. Police complaints (N.C.R – under section 155 Cr.P.C) on computerized format or daily dairy entry in police records
b. Apart from F.I.R a simple untraced report on plain format for handsets above Rs 22,000
c. Original handset purchase bill
d. Original protection plan
e. Duplicate Sim issued letter / Sim block letter (written confirmation)

Q6. Documents required for repairable / non repairable handsets?

A6. i. For Repair claims -
a.
Estimate of repair from authorized service centre
b. Handset purchase bill copy
c. Protection plan copy
d. Original repair bill
e. Payment receipt
f. Two photos of handset (before repairing) ii. For non repairable handsets Job sheet from authorized service centre stating handset as non repairable / beyond economical repair (repair cost above 75% cost of handset).

Q7. Compensation chart for payments?

A7. You can claim from all over India by just sending documents and payment will be credited in your account as per table A within 25-30 days of sending the documents. Compensation for Stolen & Non repairable handsets will be calculated as per the current market price of similar features handset at the time of claim.
Screen / Touch Damage claim not accepted within first 15 days of plan issue date.

Extra Deductions - a. Misplace / Stolen – Non Repairable handsets – 5% extra will be deducted against old accessories b. Repair – 4% extra will be deducted for salvage of replaced parts in each claim

Q8. Why the depreciation rates high?

A8. These are based on the current market value and in resell market there is lot of depreciation.

Q9. What’s the maximum - compensation amt / num of claims & can the plan be renewed?

A9. You can make unlimited number of claims but sum of all paid compensations must not exceed 75% of the purchase price of the handset. Yes you can renew the plan next year.

Q10. What’s the USP of Warranty Asia (WA) Plan and why should I buy it?

A10. In this competitive market lots of products are available but the USP of WA plan is that 100 out of 100 claims are paid.

General Conditions:

a) Apple I phone / any other make handset where handset is not repaired but replaced by service centre; additional Rs 1250/- will be deducted as new phone replacement charges in addition to above claim percentage.
b) Start repair work only after WA approval / inspection.
c) WA will pay max Rs 900 on the heads of Tax / Vat / Labour for parts / repair done by service centre.
d) Payment will be credited within 25-30 working days of getting documents into customer bank account by cheque / bank transfer.
e) Battery, charger, hands free, data cable or any other accessories are not covered.
f) Coverage is only within territorial limits of India only.
g) Coverage is only for handset owner, spouse and children’s
h) Handset use by any third party like (friends / relatives) is not covered.
i) Warranty Asia will not be liable for any kind of consequential loss due to handset theft / damage.
j) Any dispute regarding interpretation of the terms, conditions and exceptions of this protection plan shall be determined in accordance with the law and practice of a court of competent jurisdiction within Delhi only.
